THE AIM IS TO MAINTAIN TOP POSITION- CHILUMBA

Napsa Stars Line up against Kabwe Warriors.

NAPSA Stars Football Club head coach Tenant Chilumba says the team’s aim is to maintain top position in the MTN/FAZ super league competition.

Chilumba said this on Saturday after Napsa beat Kabwe Warriors 1-0 in a week 17 match played at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka, that the target is to continue collecting maximum points in every match.

Napsa have been unbeaten since week seven, with the team recording seven wins and four draws since that week.

Chilumba said topping the log is a big challenge for the team hence the reason to work extra hard in maintaining the spot.

“Our target was to pick maximum points from the Warriors match, we are on top so there is a big challenge for the boys and we shall continue working hard,” Chilumba said.

The coach also added that the Barclays Cup competition was one of the target for the team before the start of the season, adding that he has full confidence of finishing the first half of the season with good points.

Napsa are topping the log with 34 points from 17 games played, winning 10 games, drawing four and losing three.

Chitoshi Mukuma celebrates his goal.

Ends.
