NAPSA STARS Football Club acting head coach Linos Makwaza says the team’s target this season is still that of finishing in top four.
Makwaza’s drilled side resumed training on Thursday in readiness for the 2018 FAZ/MTN super league season which commences sometime in March.
The team held their first training session in Lilayi at Miller Grounds, with coach Makwaza advising his players to work hard in order to make a difference in this 2018 season.
Napsa finished on seventh position last season with 58 points from the 38 games played.
Makwaza has stressed that this is a different season and has also advised his players to work extra hard saying the team needs to secure a continental spot after the end of the 2018 season.
The acting head coach has also touched on the issue of player transfers, saying players leaving a club is something normal in football.
Napsa is currently in negotiations with some clubs on players who want to join and leave the club.
“Players leaving and coming is a normal trend in football because they have to look for greener pastures and we cannot stand in their way. We shall work with what we will have once the transfer season is done,” Makwaza said.
