NAPSA Stars Football Club head coach Elijah Chikwanda says he will continue encouraging his players till something positive comes up.
Chikwanda said in an interview with journalists after yesterday’s barren draw with Lumwana Radiants FC at Sunset Stadium that Napsa is not very far from picking their first three points.
The head coach who took over Linos Makwaza, said a point was a better result for his side looking at how the team has recorded three losses in a roll, but was also quick to add that there was a lot that needed to be done.
“I feel the players are in that mind of losing, this is why I am saying that there is a lot to be done. But as you can see we are not very far from getting our maximum points, we shall continue pushing the boys,” Chikwanda said.
Chikwanda also added that he was very hopeful that the team would pick up before the end of the first half of this 2018 FAZ/MTN super league season.
He added on to say that the transfer window was too far for him to start looking at other options, saying he will continue pushing what he has currently.
“I know our fans and sponsors expect a lot from us, but we shall continue working with what we have at the moment because this is what is there. Eventually something good will come out I have faith in this team,” Chikwanda added.
Napsa now has three points from the 10 games played, recording seven losses and three draws.
The team is this weekend scheduled to play Zanaco FC.
