NEWLY appointed NAPSA Stars Football Club Chairman Zingani Phiri has urged the team to beat Green Buffalos Football Club tomorrow in a week 15 FAZ/MTN super league game.
Mr. Phiri who has replaced Mr. Richie Nawa, was introduced to the team today at Napsa Sports Complex, and has also promised to double the team’s winning bonus tomorrow if they beat GBFC.
He has urged the team to work extra hard and put in maximum effort to see the club move out of the relegation zone.
Napsa is currently in relegation zone, lying 18th with eight points on the log.
Mr. phiri was speaking after he was introduced to the team by Mr. Mason Mwiinga who is National Pensions Scheme Authority (NAPSA) Director Contributions and Benefits, and also doubles as Director Sports.
NAPSA management made changes to the Napsa Stars FC structure and executive committee yesterday by introducing former NAPSA general Director Zingani Phiri as Chairman replacing Richie Nawa.
Other members of the new board include Mr. Nsofu who will be vice chairman, as well as Mr. Brian Musonda, John Phiri and Cephas Sinyangwe who are coming in as board members.
Meanwhile out-going Napsa Stars FC Chairman, Richie Nawa has stayed part of the team and will head the Secretariat as General Manager.
And Mr. Mwiinga who was representing the NAPSA Director General, said NAPSA management is confident that the newly appointed board will work well for the betterment of the team.
Mr. Mwinga also stressed that the development was to enhance performance and motivate the team.
And the outgoing executive has also pledged to show their continued full support to the team.
The team through head coach Elijah Chikwanda and captain Dickson Chapa, has welcomed the new board and promised 100% effort in tomorrow’s match and the next matches to come.
Napsa is scheduled to face GBFC at Sunset Stadium tomorrow.
