NAPSA Stars Football Club head coach Elijah Chikwanda says he is not happy with yesterday’s barren draw against Kitwe United Football Club.
Napsa draw 0-0 in a week 16 FAZ/MTN super league match played at Edwin Imboela Stadium yesterday, to bag a point which saw the team drop to second from third last, with 10 points.
Chikwanda said in a post- match interview with journalists that a draw was not an intended result, saying his side needed the three points to increase hopes of moving out of relegation zone.
“It is a bad result, we needed the three points to move away from were we are,” Chikwanda said.
Chikwanda also stressed on the need to reinforce the striking team, saying going five games without a goal was a serious problem that needs urgent attention.
The head coach however said there was need to focus on the two remaining matches against Nakambala and Red Arrows if the team was to end the first half on a better position.
“We need to push for these coming two games to come out of relegation. If we can’t score we can’t win…we need strikers. Although drawing is progress for us looking at where we are coming from, we really need to pull up,” Chikwanda added.
This Saturday Napsa plays Nakambala FC in a week 17 match set for Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.
