NAPSA STARS MOURNS DICKSON MAKWAZA SENIOR

NAPSA STARS FC JOINS THE REST OF THE FOOTBALL FRATERNITY TO MOURN LEGENDARY DEFENDER DICKSON MAKWAZA.

NAPSA Stars FC passes a deepest heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of legendary defender Dickson Makwaza senior who died in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The late, who died at the age of 75, was Zambia National Team captain when the national team made its first ever Africa Cup final appearance in 1974 against the then Zaire.

He also coached Zambia at the 1988 Soul Olympics where Zambia beat Italy by four goals to zero among other teams.

Mr. Makwaza was also a very good friend of NAPSA Stars FC and father of our former assistant and head coach Linos Makwaza senior. As a club, we’re greatly saddened by his passing on. We commiserate with his family in such a darkest moment.

Rest In The Lord Legend.
