FATHI COMMEND HIS PLAYERS FOR KEEPING MOMENTUM

NAPSA Stars Football Club head coach Mohamed Fathi has thanked his team for keeping the momentum in their last three games.

Coach Fathi’s side Napsa Stars FC, beat Ndola outfit Buildcon FC by a goal to nil in yesterday’s week-9 game played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

The win over Buildcon FC gave Napsa Stars 17 points on the log with one game in hand to be played against Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy on November 9, 2019.

The team head coach said in his post-match interview that his players have put up a very brave performance since the Eagles game, stressing that the victories being recorded are commendable.

“We missed a lot of chances but I just want to say thank you to the boys for a good performance since we recorded our first loss and after drawing with Eagles. They deserve the win,” Coach Fathi added.

It was Danny Silavwe’s only goal in the 7th minute that gave the pensioners their deserved three points.

The game also saw defender Luka Banda being stretched out as early as the 6th minute after he collided with Buildcon goalkeeper. Banda was replaced with Keegan Zulu.

Napsa made two other substitutions in this game introducing Simon Nkhata for Austin Banda and Thomas Banda for Laudit Mavugo.

Before this encounter, Napsa played Nkwazi FC whom they beat by another goal to nil to bag the three points.

Coach Fathi also confirmed that the team will be back in Lusaka today, Thursday October 31st, to prepare for the next fixture which is against Forest Rangers FC this Saturday.

Napsa hosts Forest at Nkoloma Stadium at 13hrs.

Meanwhile, the Lusaka based side still sits on third position with 17 points from the eight games played so far.
