NAKAMBALA HOST NAPSA

The quest for the League title continues for the pensioners today as they take on the ‘Sweet Boys’, Nakambala Leopards FC in a week 13 encounter slated to 15hours at Nakambala Grounds.

Napsa Stars FC travelled to Mazabuka yesterday for this match which is another must-win encounter for this Mohamed Fathi drilled side if they have to maintain second position in the log.

The pensioners have continued to push for maximum points in each game with the last match seeing the team beat Zanaco FC 3-2 in a tightly contested game which was played at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.

And today’s match will not be an easy one for Napsa Stars who face third from bottom placed Nakambala Leopards who will obviously be fighting for three points to redeem themselves and also make their home fans happy.

But Napsa is also doing all that the team can to ensure that maximum points are collected from Nakambala, with team head coach Mohamed Fathi advising his side to maintain the fighting spirit.

“Let’s be committed and have the same fighting spirit we have had in all the matches we have played. Let’s enjoy the game and put in even a 110% in this one,” Coach Fathi advises his boys.

And team captain Dickson Chapa says this will be one of the difficult games for Napsa, saying it is never easy to face a team that is fighting relegation.

The skipper is however very hopeful that Napsa is capable of collecting maximum points away from home, stressing that everyone in the team wants to get the sweet victory from Nakambala.

“We want to keep the momentum and if we lose we risk losing our second position so we just have to fight hard to collect maximum points in today’s match.

Napsa going into this game has 24 points after 11 games played, winning seven, drawing three and losing one. Nakambala on the other hand are third from bottom with 7 points collected from two wins and one draw. They have played 10 games and lost seven.
